How can coaching help?
I have spent over 20 years working in education as a teacher, leader and teacher educator. I know how passionately teachers and school leaders want to provide the education that our young people need and deserve.
I also know that there has probably never been a harder time to work in schools.
For this reason, I coach teachers and leaders around both career and wellbeing so that they can:
- Imagine and plan for the next steps in their career whether that be as a leader, exploring a new role, moving to part-time work, or returning from time out.
- Prepare for an individual challenge such as a new role or preparing for Ofsted.
- Overcome limiting beliefs and imposter syndrome whilst building confidence and self-belief.
- Get their work and personal lives back in balance.
- Focus on what they love about their job and how to find more of it in their workplace.
- Where the time is right, explore career change.
Coaching packages
My standard teacher coaching package includes:
- A free 30m introductory call. This provides an opportunity to ask questions about the coaching process and discuss individual goals for coaching before making a commitment.
- 6 x one to one coaching calls over 3-6 months. These may be used on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis depending on the nature of the coaching work to be undertaken and the preference and availability of client and coach.
- Where appropriate I may also suggest ‘homework’ tasks and reading/listening.
Rate
£450 – Where an individual rather than a school or college is funding the package, payment plans can be arranged. Please message me here for further details.
What do my teacher clients say about me?
Sarah, Head of Department, Secondary
My original aim was to make a career change but I no longer feel trapped in my current situation and have realised that a series of small changes in the right direction can add up to a bigger shift in how you feel. I am so grateful for your guidance and support in unpicking my negative feelings and working out where my life was not aligned with my values, so that I can start moving in a positive direction and vocalising my needs in order to do this.
Steph, Deputy Head Teacher, Primary
I am so grateful for the sessions that I had with Siobhan. I can honestly say that years of ingrained perceptions, including those of myself, have been changed through our sessions and this has completely transformed my confidence in the areas that we targeted.
Having not come with a particular agenda or focus, our sessions started as a general overview of my life and ended in exploring a significant area of my life that I hadn’t had the time, space or opportunity to explore before the sessions. This has led to me having the confidence to make decisions differently and confidently and has had a huge positive impact on me personally and professionally.
Siobhan was friendly, challenging and above all a fantastic listener who was able to make connections between thoughts that I didn’t know existed, uncovering new areas to explore to move my thinking forward. Thanks Siobhan!
Manezza, Head of Department, Secondary
Working with Siobhan has had a phenomenal impact on my life. Being given the time to think, reflect, speak and be honest with myself, my mindset, perception and output has completely changed. I am no longer anxious at work, I am able to see matters from a more balanced viewpoint and I am recognising my accomplishments! Siobhan’s coaching style is encouraging, wise and nurturing and I would not have made this progress without her direction. Thank you, Siobhan!
