The Ostrich, Harbourside, Bristol.
It feels like the pandemic’s reimagining of the word ‘pivot’ was designed to fit the Ostrich, Just months after a swanky refurb to their upstairs dining room we were in lockdown. In response, the Ostrich completely revamped an outdoor area already blessed by beautiful harbourside views, to include undercover seating, an outdoor kitchen and a heated tipi! The food is superb (full disclosure, I’m related to the chef but damn, it’s true) and service is always enthusiastic and friendly. Serves Butcombe ales and has a smuggling history – come on, what more could you want?
