Youth coaching

Student wellbeing is a top priority for every school but many schools find that they do not have the capacity to support the growing number of young people needing one to one intervention.

Coaching conversations provide young people with a safe, non-judgemental space to explore changes that they would like to make, and to develop the agency and self-belief to start making them.

Youth coaching can support:

  • Managing stress.
  • More effectively managing study skills and improving organisation.
  • Building more effective relationships.
  • Regulating emotions and making positive behaviour choices.
  • Exploring future plans.
  • Developing self-belief and self-compassion.

To ensure that the service best meets the needs of the high numbers of neurodivergent students referred for youth coaching, I have completed the Animas Centre for Coaching’s ICF acredited diploma, Neurodiversity in Coaching: Context and Skills for Effective Practice.
